Supported file formats and size limits

See which file types you can upload to Raison and the maximum file size for each type on each plan tier.

Written by Romain Morvant

This page lists the file types Raison accepts when you upload files, and the maximum size for each type. Maximum size depends on your organization plan. You can also open the size limits in the upload window to see which plan you are on (TIER 1, TIER 2, or TIER 3).

What you can upload

The usual types are PDF, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, images, audio, video, SCORM, and H5P. You can also add EPUB, ODT, ODP, HTML, TXT, CSV, TSV, Markdown, JSON, Jupyter notebooks (.ipynb), and subtitle files (.srt, .vtt).

Size limits by plan (MB)

Use the table that matches your plan. Values are in megabytes.

If a file is too large

Compress it, split it, or write to [email protected] to ask for a higher limit.

Web pages and hosted videos

Web pages and YouTube are not file uploads: add them as a web page. Hosted Vimeo, Kaltura, or Nudgis videos are imported from the host, after an admin connects the integration.
