Start a quiz and work with the timer

Open a graded quiz your teacher assigned, start your attempt, and follow the Time remaining clock.

Written by Romain Morvant

This page covers starting a graded assessment your teacher assigned and working with its timer. It is not the Quiz shortcut in the chat.

Quiz rules screen before starting, with the number of questions, timer, copy-paste and tab rules, and the Start quiz button

Open the quiz and start

Open the link your teacher sent. You see the name, a short description when there is one, and the rules for this attempt. Continue, then start. A short countdown runs, then the first question opens.

Raison does not ask for a pairing code, a webcam, or a lockdown browser.

Watch Time remaining

If your teacher set a timer, the header shows Time remaining. One clock covers the whole attempt, even when the time was set per question. When the clock reaches zero, Raison sends what you have.

If there is no timer, there is no clock. You still finish when you send the attempt.

Copy and paste can be blocked. Leaving the tab can end the attempt if that rule is on.
