My quiz attempt ended before I finished

Why a quiz attempt ends early (you left the tab, time ran out, you closed the window) and what to do if you cannot try again.

Written by Romain Morvant

Use this page if your quiz attempt ended before you finished, or you cannot start it again. It covers the quiz player your teacher assigned, not the Quiz shortcut in the chat.

The quiz results page after an ended attempt, with the score, the graded answers, and Try again and Back to quiz actions.

Why it ended

You can send the attempt yourself when you finish.

If leaving the tab ends the attempt, switching away and coming back sends what you have. If Time remaining reaches zero, Raison also sends the attempt. Those endings still show your score.

Closing the window while you are in the quiz records the attempt as left. You do not see your score on that path.

Copy and paste, and recording the session, never end the attempt.

If you cannot try again

Some quizzes allow only one try. If you open it again, you see that you already used it. The reason can be that you finished, left the tab, left the quiz, or ran out of time.

If your teacher allows another try, you can start a new attempt from the results.
