This page shows teachers and admins how to change or reset their password. If your teacher or admin account has a password, you change it in Settings. Google-only accounts that never set a password do not see this page. Learners do not have a password screen.
Open Security
Open your avatar at the bottom of the sidebar, then Settings, then Security. Security appears only when your account already has a password.
Change the password
Enter your current password, then the new one twice, and save. Each of those three fields must be at least 8 characters, and the two new fields must match.
If you forgot your password
On the same card, Forgot password? signs you out and opens the reset page. Enter your email to receive instructions, then the 6-digit code from the email, then a new password (at least 8 characters).
You can also start that reset from the sign-in page, next to the password field.
What this page is not
There is no control here to add a password to a Google-only account.
Learners in the workspace, a share link, or a website widget have no Security item. They sign in with email, not with this password form.
