This page shows teachers and admins how to sign in to Raison at app.raison.is, confirm a new device, and log out. Learners sign in a different way. See the learner section below.
Open the sign-in page
Go to app.raison.is. If you are not signed in, Raison asks you to log in. If you do not have an account yet, see Create your account and sign in.
Continue with Google
At the top of the form, continue with Google. Google is the only social option on this page.
Email and password
The default form is email and password. Enter both, then continue.
If you forgot your password, use the link next to the password field. That reset flow is in Create your account and sign in. Once you are signed in, you can also change your password from Settings.
Magic link
You can also continue with email instead of a password. Enter your email, then continue. Raison sends a link to that address. You can open Gmail or Outlook from the next screen.
Open the link on the same device and browser you used to request it. If you open it elsewhere, go back and try again on that same device. If the link expired, request a new one.
To return to the password form, continue with password.
Confirm a new device
On a new device or browser, Raison may send a 6-digit code to your email so you can confirm it. Enter the code, then continue. You can request a new code, or start over. That screen is still in English.
This step is not the Devices list in Settings, which you use after you are signed in.
Log out
When you are signed in as a teacher or admin, open your avatar at the bottom of the sidebar and select Log out.
Learners
Learners do not sign in with a password on this page. In the learner workspace they enter their email and receive a code. See Sign in with your email and a code.
If you open an assistant from Moodle, Canvas, or Blackboard, your LMS signs you in. See Open an assistant from your LMS.
