Delete your account

Permanently close your own Raison account from Settings, and learn how this differs from deleting an organization.

Written by Romain Morvant

Teachers and admins can permanently close their own Raison account from Settings. This control is not in the learner workspace. Deleting your account is not the same as deleting an organization.

Open Delete account

Open your avatar at the bottom of the sidebar, then Settings, then Account. Scroll to the bottom of the page.

Confirm and delete

Select Delete account. To confirm, type your first and last name as they appear on your profile (capital letters do not matter). Then confirm, or cancel to close without deleting.

After a successful deletion, Raison signs you out and returns you to the login page. There is no download or export step in this window.

Who this is for

Any teacher or admin can delete their own account from Account. You do not need the Admin role. It is also available in a personal space.

Raison does not warn you if you are the last Admin of an organization, and it does not offer to transfer your assistants.

To remove someone else from an organization without closing their Raison account, see Remove a member.

Learners in the workspace, a share link, or a website widget can edit their profile from Account. They have no Delete account button.

Account vs organization

This section deletes your user account. It does not delete the organization. Organization-level actions (wipe data, delete activity logs, delete the organization) sit under Organization, then Danger, and only an Admin sees them.
