From Raison you can publish a quiz or a case study into a Moodle course as a normal External tool activity. The local plugin creates the Moodle activity. LTI launches the learner into that assessment.
The assessment must be published in Raison and linked to the Moodle activity before a learner opens it. Otherwise Raison shows a troubleshooting state, not another assessment.
What you need
The local plugin connected and LTI Dynamic Registration activated
moodle/course:manageactivitiesandmod/lti:addinstancein the target courseThe Raison Manager role (or equivalent capabilities) for assistant and assessment management
Publish
Create and publish a quiz or case study in Raison.
Select the connected Moodle site.
Select the target course and section.
Set the activity name and, if needed, its position in the section.
Publish.
The plugin checks the course, section, and LTI tool type, then creates a visible Moodle LTI activity. Raison stores the Moodle course-module ID, LTI instance ID, section ID, and name. The LTI instance ID is the content identifier that ties the Moodle placement to the assessment.
You can rename a placement later. Removing a placement uses the Moodle operation that deletes the course module.
What the learner sees
The learner opens the activity in the Moodle course.
Moodle performs the LTI 1.3 launch.
Raison validates the platform, deployment, signature, nonce, user, role, course, and resource.
Raison resolves the activity to the assessment mapping and checks that the quiz or case study is published.
Raison resolves or creates the learner record.
For a quiz, Raison creates a time-limited play session. For a case study, it creates the learner association and an access link.
The assessment renders in the Moodle LTI frame.
Grade passback to the Moodle gradebook is not enabled yet.
