As a teacher or admin, you can choose how assistants answer you: how long their messages are and which tone they use. These preferences follow your account.
Open Preferences
Open your avatar, then Settings, then Preferences.
Tone and message length
Message length can be Concise, Default, or Detailed. Tone can be Warm, Default, or Professional.
The same block includes custom instructions. See Custom instructions. Save after you change tone, length, or instructions.
Other settings on this page
The interface language and theme are also on Preferences. They change how the app looks, not how assistants answer. See Change the interface language and theme.
In the chat, Mode can be Support or Effort. That is a different control. It does not replace tone or message length.
Learners
Learners set tone, message length, and custom instructions from their own Preferences dialog. See Learner preferences: tone, message length and custom instructions.
