The assistant answers in the wrong language

Chat follows the learner's language, there is no Answer language setting, and your own interface language is separate.

Written by Romain Morvant

There is no assistant setting labelled Answer language. Chat follows the language the learner opens. Intro copy is generated in your material's main language and translated in real time for learners.

Learner chat language

On Settings → General → Intro & suggestions, if you are viewing a language that is not translated yet, you can select Translate to [language]. Learners still get a translation automatically the first time they open a chat in that language.

If the intro still shows another language, Raison notes that you are seeing the source version and that learners get a translation automatically when they first open a chat in that language.

Your interface language is separate

The language control in your profile changes the Raison app for you. It does not set the language of learner answers.

Email language on a learner invite only changes that email, not chat.

If the materials are in the wrong language

If extraction stored the document in the wrong language, answers will follow that text.

Ask the learner to open the chat in the language they need, then send the question again in a new conversation.
