Test your assistant before publishing

Chat with your assistant as a learner would using Preview, and clear the preview chat when you want a clean start.

Before learners see the assistant, chat with it yourself. Preview in the header opens that chat; the product also calls it Learner preview.

Open the learner-side chat

You can try answers without publishing.

  1. Open the assistant from Teaching assistants.

  2. Select Preview in the header, next to Share.

  3. Ask a question as a learner would. Use New chat for another conversation, Chat history to reopen an earlier one, and Close preview when you are done.

Preview works while the assistant is still in Draft, and after you publish.

Clear the preview chat

If you want a clean start, you can delete your preview messages.

  1. Open Settings, then Advanced.

  2. Find Clear preview chat and select Clear.

Raison deletes your preview messages and the data attached to them.

If answers miss your sources

If answers miss the sources you expect, update the knowledge base, then rebuild the assistant before you publish.
