What data does Raison process?

See which categories of personal data Raison processes on behalf of its clients, and how sensitive data is handled.

Written by Romain Morvant

In its role as processor (on behalf of its clients), Raison processes:

  • User identifiers (name, surname, institutional email, Moodle/LMS identifier)

  • Roles and permissions (student, teacher, administrator)

  • Usage data (progression, interactions with AI assistants, activity logs)

  • Educational content uploaded by the institution (PDFs, videos, course materials)

  • Support messages and exchanges

Sensitive data

Raison does not process sensitive data (health, biometric, and similar categories) unless expressly agreed and framed with the client.

How this data is used and where it is hosted

Raison stores this data to provide the service, for example conversation history. Conversations and content are never used to train AI models and are never provided to OpenAI or Anthropic (Claude). See Is my work used to train models?

The core production environment is hosted in France. Some sub-processors process limited data outside France and the EEA. See Does Raison send data outside Europe?
