Learner anonymization

Hide real learner names, emails and photos from teachers across your organization by showing animal pseudonyms instead.

Written by Romain Morvant

You can hide real learner names and emails from teachers. When the setting is on, teachers see animal pseudonyms instead, in analytics, transcripts, and learner management.

Turn anonymization on or off

Switch to the organization, then open Settings, Organization, Assistants. Open Privacy, use Anonymize learner names, and save.

Only an Admin sees this page. If your role is Trainer, you do not see Assistants.

What changes

  • The change applies to the whole organization as soon as you save.

  • A typical pseudonym looks like an animal name followed by a three-digit number.

  • Emails and profile photos are also hidden from those teacher views.

This setting does not add a privacy notice for learners. For the text under the chat field, use Disclaimer on the same page.
