Raison integrates with three Learning Management Systems: Moodle, Canvas, and Blackboard (Anthology). If you run an in-house or custom LMS, you can embed Raison as a JavaScript widget instead.
The two mechanisms
A complete integration relies on two complementary parts.
API. Raison pulls course structure and content from the LMS. Course materials, modules, and pages become available in Raison without a manual import.
LTI 1.3. The LMS authenticates learners and places Raison inside courses. Students and instructors open Raison without leaving the LMS, and Raison knows which course and which user is launching it.
The API handles content. LTI handles identity and placement. Both are normally required.
How each platform is set up
Moodle. The local plugin (local_corolair) provides the API-side connection: registration, Web Service, sync, and assessment placement. LTI 1.3 is registered with a generated URL (Dynamic Registration), not by copying endpoints by hand.
Canvas. An OAuth developer key for the API connection, then an LTI 1.3 key for placement. Two separate steps.
Blackboard. A REST API integration and an LTI tool, both registered from the Anthology Developer Portal.
Anything else. A generic LTI 1.3 setup if your platform supports LTI, or the JavaScript widget if it does not.
