An LTI launch fails (generic)

What to check in Raison when an LTI launch fails, and which platform troubleshooting article to open next.

Written by Romain Morvant

If an LTI launch fails, check a few things in Raison before changing LMS settings. Platform-specific failures are covered in the Moodle, Canvas, and Blackboard troubleshooting articles.

Check the Raison side

Sign in at app.raison.is as an organization admin. Open Organization, then Integrations, and open the Moodle, Canvas, or Blackboard card that you use.

The Integrations settings page in Organization, showing the Learning management system section with Moodle, Blackboard, and Canvas cards marked connected, each with a Manage button.

Confirm that:

  • That card has an LTI provider saved.

  • An assistant is attached to that course. See Attach an assistant to a course.

  • The person launching belongs to the organization. Otherwise Raison asks them to request access.

Then check your platform
