This glossary explains the words you keep seeing in Raison.

Spaces and people

Personal space is yours. An organization is the shared space for a team or institution. Assistants and knowledge bases stay in the space where you create them.

If you do not belong to an organization yet, Create organization asks for access to that feature. It does not add you to an existing organization. To join one, you need an invite.

A learner opens an assistant from a link or from your LMS. They do not need a teacher account.

Assistants

An assistant is the AI chat you create. Open Teaching assistants in the sidebar to find yours.

A new assistant helps learners study the course. Admin assistant is for practical questions such as deadlines and FAQs. Modes also include Support, Effort, and custom modes you add. There is no Course assistant card.

Preview opens a learner chat so you can try it. It is a button, not a tab.

Support mode is not how you contact Raison. To reach the Raison team, open Feedback in the sidebar, or write to [email protected].

Knowledge

A resource is one source you import: a file, a web page, free text, a SCORM package, or a video.

A collection is a named group of resources.

A knowledge base is the collections attached to an assistant. In the sidebar, Knowledge bases is where you create and organize collections and resources.
