Read results and replay a session

Read learner scores in the Learners table, open an attempt to see each answer, and watch a session replay.

The Learners table is where you read scores and open an attempt for a quiz in Exams. Session replay is available only when recording was on for that attempt.

Read the table

Open Exams, open the quiz, then go to Learners. You see each person's name, email, status, number of attempts, latest score, and when they last attempted.

The Learners table of a quiz with Name, Email, Status, Attempts, Latest score and Last attempt columns

Status is Active or Banned. Latest score is a percent, or a dash if there is none. Last attempt is relative time, or a dash. The table sorts by last attempt first. You can search the list.

Open an attempt

On a row with at least one attempt, view the attempts. Each one shows the score and why it ended. The possible reasons are:

  • Completed

  • Ended for leaving tab

  • Left quiz

  • Time expired

  • In progress

Open an attempt to see the score, how many questions were answered, start time, whether it completed, duration, and the end reason.

Under answers, each question shows whether it was Correct, Incorrect, or Partially correct, then the learner answer, selected answers, and feedback when those exist. You can also see time spent, how often the learner opened the question, and whether they changed the answer.

Replay a session

If a recording exists, select Watch session replay. A recording is created only when Record session was on during the attempt, so turn that switch on in Settings before learners start.

Teacher Preview does not start a recording. Replay is a recording of the quiz page, not a webcam video.
