Report a problem with an answer

What to do when an answer looks wrong: retry it, check its sources, send it to a teacher, or report it to Raison.

Written by Romain Morvant

If an answer looks wrong, start on that message. There is no thumbs-down and no Report control on the reply itself.

On that answer

Wait until the reply has finished writing. Then open the extra actions on the assistant message and choose Retry to generate a new reply for that turn. If the answer cited course materials, open Sources (or View sources on an older reply) and compare the text to the cited passage.

Actions under a completed answer (Copy, Read aloud, Ask my teacher, More actions, Sources), with the More actions menu open showing Retry.

You can copy the answer before you retry, so you still have the text to quote later.

Send it to a teacher

Learners can forward that message with Ask my teacher, when you left that setting on (it is on by default). They add a short note and send. This is not email.

Report it to Raison

In the teacher app, open Feedback in the sidebar. Learners open Support in their sidebar. Choose Bug, Feedback, or Question, write what went wrong, and send. Raison replies by email. Include the question you asked, what was wrong in the answer, and what the sources showed if you opened them.

The Contact support dialog from the teacher app sidebar, with message type choices, a text box for what went wrong, and Cancel and Send buttons.

You can also write to [email protected].

If you own the assistant

A report does not by itself change the knowledge base. Check the collections, resource status, and settings described in The assistant's answers are off-topic, then test again in Preview.
