Reading the key metrics (assistants, users, messages, adoption rate)

Understand the four Dashboard tiles (Assistants, Users, Messages, Adoption rate), the Activity chart and the assistants table.

Written by Romain Morvant

Open Dashboard to see, at a glance, whether learners are using your assistants, how many messages they sent, and what share of the roster came back. This page explains what each figure measures.

The Dashboard metric strip with a date range selector and four tiles: Assistants, Users, Messages, and Adoption rate.

Open Dashboard

Sign in at app.raison.is, then select Dashboard in the sidebar. Figures follow the workspace you are in: your personal space or an organization.

What the four tiles measure

The tiles use the date range and any assistant filter you applied. You see the assistants you can access in the current workspace.

  • Assistants. How many of your assistants received at least one learner message in the period. An assistant with no messages in that period does not increment this number. Archived assistants are left out.

  • Users. How many distinct people sent at least one message to those assistants.

  • Messages. How many learner messages were sent. This counts the learner's side of the chat, not the assistant's replies.

  • Adoption rate. Among learners who have an active status on those assistants, the share who sent at least one message. Raison shows it as a percentage with one decimal place. If there is nobody on the roster to compare against, the tile shows a dash instead of a percentage.

Activity and the assistants table

Under the tiles, the Activity chart plots users and messages by day. Days with no activity show as zero.

The table below lists every assistant you can access, including those with no messages in the period. Open a name to go to that assistant's Overview.

The Assistants tile can be smaller than the number of rows: the tile counts only assistants that received a message, while the table lists every assistant you can access.

For each assistant, the table shows message count, active learners (distinct people who wrote), and that assistant's adoption rate. The roster used for adoption can be larger than the active-learners column.
