Export data and full transcripts

Download engagement or message-trace files from an assistant's Learners tab, and read a learner's full transcript on screen.

Written by Romain Morvant

From the Learners tab you can download engagement as a CSV, export message traces, or open a learner's full transcript. There is no export on the Analytics tab, and this is not the CSV from Analytics lab.

The Export data menu on an assistant's Learners tab, with the Analytics, Traces (Learners only), and Traces (Learners + Assistant) options.

Download a file

Open the assistant, select Learners, then Export data. Files follow the date range currently set on this table (it starts on all time).

You can download:

  • An engagement CSV (who interacted, and when). The subtitle mentions quiz attempts, but there is no quiz-attempts column.

  • Traces with learner messages only.

  • Traces with learner and assistant messages.

Headers stay in English. The learner-only file spells the message column with three s (Messsage) and uses a Tutor column for the assistant name. The complete traces file spells Message with two s and adds a Role column.

This teacher export is not the learner-side PDF, which has its own setting. Charts from Analytics lab are also a different download.

Read a transcript on screen

On a row that has messages, open the transcript to read that learner's conversations, including assistant replies. If the learner has no messages, that control is disabled.

You can also open a conversation from a topic on Analytics when that feature is enabled.
