Attach a collection to an assistant

Link a collection to an assistant's knowledge base, start an assistant from a collection, or unlink a collection you no longer need.

Written by Romain Morvant

This page shows you how to link collections to an assistant and remove them. Linking a collection puts it in the assistant's knowledge base, and Raison then rebuilds the assistant so it can answer from the new material. You are connecting an existing collection, not copying files.

Add a collection to an existing assistant

  1. Open the assistant and go to Knowledge base.

  2. Add a collection. Pick one or more collections that are ready, then confirm.

  3. Wait until processing finishes before you test new answers.

Start an assistant from a collection

If the assistant doesn't exist yet, open a ready collection and create an assistant from there. The new assistant starts with that collection already linked.

In an organization, new assistants can also receive organization default collections automatically, in addition to the collection you pick yourself.

Remove a collection from an assistant

On Knowledge base, unlink the collection. This doesn't delete the collection or its resources.

You can't remove the last collection: an assistant must keep at least one.
