What happens during generation

What Raison creates after you select Generate assistant, the progress steps, and what to do if a source needs you or generation fails.

Written by Romain Morvant

After you select Generate assistant, Raison prepares the knowledge base and builds the assistant. Generation usually takes 1 to 2 minutes. You can stay on the page, or ask to be notified by email.

What Raison creates

From Start from scratch, Raison creates a collection named New assistant Collection and an assistant named New assistant. From an LMS course, it imports the selected resources into a new collection and creates the assistant. From an existing collection, it attaches the collections you picked. The assistant name stays New assistant until you rename it.

While you wait

Progress moves through four steps: Preparing, Reading documents (with a processed count), Building your assistant, then Ready.

Select Notify me by email if you do not want to wait. Raison sends a message to the email on your account when the assistant is ready.

You can leave the page. Open Quick create again later to return to this progress screen.

If a source needs you

Generation can pause if some sources failed or need a review. For each document, choose Fix, Review, or Enrich as shown. When every flagged item has a choice, select Continue creating. If several collections need work, open each one, complete it, then select Validate. Use Back to return to the overview.

If something goes wrong

If generation fails, select Regenerate to try again. If it keeps failing, write to [email protected].

When it is ready

Raison opens the assistant so you can rename it, review its modes, and share it.
