Re-sync a resource

Retry a failed file or sync a collection after you add or remove documents, so your assistants use the latest content.

Written by Romain Morvant

This page explains how to get Raison to read your content again. There is no Re-sync button on a single resource: you either retry a failed file, or you use Sync collection after you add or remove documents.

Collection actions menu open, showing Sync collection, Review, Edit, Transfer ownership and Delete collection

Retry a failed file

If the chip is Error, open the collection review and choose Retry on that file (or Retry all). This reads the same file again. It is not an LMS pull.

Sync the collection

Open the collection under Knowledge bases. After you add or remove documents, choose Sync collection. The collection goes back to Processing, then assistants pick up the new set.

If you leave without syncing, Raison warns you that the collection resources have changed.

LMS course updates

Connecting Moodle, Canvas, or Blackboard does not re-sync one file on a timer. Course updates is offered when you create an assistant from a course. It keeps the collection aligned with the course; it is not a per-file re-sync.
